Kane Scholarships are intended for Southern Colorado students eligible for Colorado in-state tuition. These merit scholarships have minimum GPA requirements for scholarship applicants and for scholarship recipients to retain their scholarship each semester. The scholarships are intended for students with a demonstrated history of academic success, hard work, motivation and achievement. They cover costs of in-state tuition, mandatory fees and required books for up to the two or four-year period allowed for the degree sought by the scholarship recipient.
Applications for a Kane Scholarship are made directly to the participating school from the student interested in attending that school either for a Bachelor’s Degree or for an Associate’s Degree. UCCS and CSU Pueblo accept applications for a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from graduating high school students and applications for a two-year Bachelor’s Degree from students transferring after receiving an Associate’s Degree from a participating school. Students pursuing a two-year Associate’s Degree can apply to Lamar Community College, Otero College, Pikes Peak State College, Pueblo Community College and Trinidad State College.
